What is Input?
Input is a place for you to get things done. Input has the simplicity of writing in a doc, with some of the most powerful features of project management.

How is Input different from Google Docs?
Input is designed to be as simple as writing a doc, so on the surface it might appear similar. But, we've supercharged Input with features to help you get things done. In Input, you can assign tasks, collaborate with comments, and see at-a-glance where your attention is most needed.

How is Input different from task management tools, like Asana or Trello?
Input is simpler and easier to use than most task management tools. A lot of existing software is more suited to project managers, and is over-complicated with features and integrations. We built Input to have the best parts of task management, but with the ease of a doc.

How does Input make work more productive?
Input helps you get things done, better. Designed to be your home for projects, you can see at-a-glance where your work is at, who is responsible for what, and what tasks you still have to complete. It's a place to organize your work and get all the context you need, helping you avoid follow-up emails and status requests.

How can I invite someone to Input?
It's easy to share a doc that you're working on! Just click the blue Share button in the top-right corner of any doc. You can either enter the email address of the person you'd like to invite or copy the link.

Who can see the docs that I've created?
By default, no one can see the docs that you've created for yourself. You can add your teammates to them by clicking the blue Share button, or you can work independently in a doc.

How do I assign a task?
You can assign any piece of text to someone. When you hover over a bullet point or a sentence, just click on the empty avatar, then choose who you'd like to assign the task to.

How do I complete a task?
To complete a task, click on the ellipsis to the right of any piece of text, then choose Complete. If your task is part of a list, just click on the bullet point, and your task will be completed.

How does Input work for remote teams?
Input was designed by an entirely remote team, with remote teams in mind. Collaborate in real-time on any doc, see who's in-the-loop with viewing activity, and comment on anything. We especially love using Input to minimize meetings and emails, or as an actionable meeting notes tool to make meetings more productive.

How much does Input cost?
Input is 100% free — there are no limits on how many docs you can create or how many people you can invite. The possibilities are limitless, so go get stuff done to your heart's content.

I found a bug! What do I do?
We're still working on Input, and while we're doing our best to squash all those bugs ASAP, sometimes things slip through the cracks. Let us know of any bugs at hello@input.com.
